Players will be eliminated from the tournament as they lose all of their chips, and the last player standing will be declared the winner.
Tournaments can either be free-to-enter or require an entry fee. The free-to-enter tournaments are typically called freerolls, and they usually have smaller prize pools than the paid tournaments. Some online poker sites also offer satellites, which are tournaments where the winner earns a seat into a larger tournament with a bigger prize pool.
The Basic Rules of Poker.

So, if there is $100 in the pot and Player 1 bets $50, Player 2 can raise by up to $50 (making the total bet $100), or they can just call Player 1’s bet ($50), or they can fold their hand and give up any chance to win that pot. Another common rule is that each player can only bet or raise by a certain amount – for example, $5 – regardless of how much is already in the pot. In this case, if Player 1 bets $5 and Player 2 raises them by $5 (to make it $10), then Player 1 could raise again by $5 but not by more than that because their total raise would be capped at $10.$15.
